For the most part, our electronics hate water, which is why sometimes bringing a Bluetooth speaker to the beach or pool isn't the best idea. However, if you are looking for a speaker that can withstand water, you should check out the latest Emberton speakers from Marshall.
The company has announced its latest Emberton portable Bluetooth speaker that has an IPX7 rating. This means that the speakers are waterproof if they fall into the pool or water and continue to function properly as long as they are no more than 3 feet deep and have not been immersed for more than 30 minutes.
The Emberton speakers will feature Marshall's brand design, with the company opting for a more classic look reminiscent of its guitar / bass amplifiers. According to Marshall, the Emberton speakers offer up to 20 hours on a single charge and support fast charging. It also uses Bluetooth 5.0, which means it pairs with devices and has a range of around 30 feet.
USB-C is also used for charging, which should mean that you don't need to bring fewer cables if you've already switched to USB-C devices. If you're interested in getting your hands on it, the Marshall Emberton costs $ 149.
