As some of you may remember, Apple announced in early 2019 that it would be terminating its AirPower wireless charging mat. This was shortly after various reports claiming Apple encountered some technical hurdles with the device and could not resolve it in time.
However, towards the end of 2019, there was a new rumor that Apple may not have given up its AirPower plans yet, and a recent Jon Prosser tweet appears to provide some evidence to support these claims. In the tweet, Prosser shares some photos of the apparently intended AirPower, on which not only the AirPods, but also the Apple Watch are charged at the same time.
Charging the Apple Watch is particularly interesting because one of the problems with the previous prototype was that the smartwatch couldn't be charged. This is because unlike the AirPods and iPhones that support wireless charging, the Apple Watch uses its own magnetic charger that sticks to the bottom of the device. What makes this leak interesting is that it appears to be powered by a USB-C cable.

Do you remember how I said the main problem was that current prototypes didn't support Apple Watch?

Prosser had already claimed in April this year that AirPower could have several sizes in which several devices could be charged, and one that could only charge one. Take these leaks with a grain of salt for now, but it definitely looks like Apple hasn't yet given up 100% of its plans for wireless charging.
