If you think the design for Amazon's Echo and Echo Dot speakers is a bit dated, you might be interested to know that the company has since developed a brand new design for its Alexa-enabled speakers. As you can see in the photo above, Amazon decided to redesign it, resulting in a spherical design.
According to Amazon, with the new Echo, they have decided to combine both the Echo functions and the Echo Plus functions into one unit while keeping the price of an Echo. Both the new Echo and the new Echo Dot will have a fabric finish and an LED light ring at the bottom to create an underglow effect.
One of the main differences between the Echo and the Echo Dot would be the size of the speakers, where the Echo comes with a 3-inch woofer and dual-igniter tweeters, while the Echo Dot comes with a single 1.6-inch front becomes. Trigger loudspeaker. Since these are essentially Alexa-enabled speakers, this also means that they can still do everything Alexa can except for the new design.
The price for the brand new Echo is $ 100 and the Echo Dot is $ 50. Both are slated for October 22nd, but can be pre-ordered now.
